Staff Awards

During this year we have also recognised the efforts of some very special people here at ECB.

After spending 30 years at ECB Brendan was awarded a trip to Melbourne for the Melbourne Cup and enjoy some site-seeing. Having never enjoyed the experience of flying or being outside of Queensland before, it was a huge adventure for Brendan and his brother. 2017 will see 31 years of loyal service to ECB and we wish Brendan all the best for Christmas and New Year, as well as his future here at ECB.

It takes a huge team to make the WORLD’S BEST ALLOY BULLBARS, and after almost 10 years in general parts and all rounder, Trevor Franklin is now retiring. He and his wife will now focus their energies running and maintaining their delightful Mount Mee Country Inn – Bed and Breakfast, located in the small picturesque village of Mount Mee. They even have their very own English Pub & Tea Rooms positioned in the landscaped gardens, a nice spot to enjoy that 21 year old Scotch. winking-emoticonJust an hour north of Brisbane, nestled in the beautiful D’Aguilar Ranges – We wish Trevor and his family all the best.trevorfrankline2

Numerous awards were given out at our annual Christmas breakfast, and we will bring you more, with images, after the New Year – Our 1st edition for 2017.

Is your 4WD ready for Your Christmas Adventure?

If you are heading off road this Christmas there are some things you need to consider before doing so. As many experienced 4 wheel drivers will happily share their opinions and experiences, though it is still a great idea to make your own list. Stick to what you need in consideration of what type of driving you will be doing and invest in the essentials first.

We often consider 4WD vehicle accessories that should be fitted to vehicles heading bush, even on day trippers need gear. Portable essentials such as first aid kit, navigation GPS, recovery bag, emergency food and water, and communications are mandatory for every trip, even weekenders or extended day trips.

However, don’t get caught up in all the hype of adding expensive upgrades and accessories to your vehicle that may at times hinder your progress rather than add to your experience. Do your research and add what’s right for you, your travel style and locations you wish to explore.
